This company is now owned by Scotia Bank and is no longer able to offer the personalized, tailored services required by medical doctors. This has been apparent in MD Management’s role as executor of my late father’s estate. My mother has been contacted regularly with a stream of questions about the estate by an associate who lacks both sensitivity and a basic comprehension of estate law. Her emails and phone calls have come across as demanding and terse. Any questions asked by my mother have been ignored or deferred. Additionally, the Scotia Bank associate was unaware whether or not jointly owned property and the family home formed part of the estate (it does not). I was confident that this estate would be settled in a fair, respectful and efficient manner, in a way that reflected my family’s accommodating responsiveness to any and all requests. The executor fees were anticipated and considered a worthwhile cost for managing the complexities of this estate. MD Management has lacked sensitivity and a spirit of mutual cooperation but seems preoccupied with the percentage of estate that they are entitled to. I will be personally telling all the physicians in our contacts to avoid MD Management.
