System glitch that enrolled me in auto pay and concluded in skipping a payment, therefore hitting my credit. I have emails to prove the issue management is non-responsive they blamed me. Apparently this is a common issue will be refinancing out of this garbage. |

SST is a predatory servicer that hides behind 'normal operating procedures' to mask high-velocity interest extraction. Here is the reality of their 23.24% APR trap: Daily Accrual: At my balance, I’m charged daily interest regardless of my billing cycle. Payment Application: My first $240 was eaten entirely by interest (0% principal reduction). The Result: 15 months later, $1,118 of my $1,800 in payments has been 'lost' to interest. This is Amortization Negative Momentum—where the cost of borrowing is so high compared to the payment amount that the debt feels permanent. They make it nearly impossible to reach the principal because they front-load the interest 'catch-up.' They are heartless, they are predatory, and they thrive on keeping you in debt. 💩 |

I also have had nothing but problems with SST, i had 2 loans through Marcus that were sold to them . I paid off the first loan and had no issues it was reported correctly and i received the payoff letter. 2nd loan was paid off months ago. both loans never late or anything. I now have a complaint filed with the better business bureau and the credit agencies do to them not sending me a payoff letter and still has not been cleared off my credit report. when i call they tell me congratulations on your payoff we do show a zero balance and paid in full!. ( Than why cant the idiots finish the job and send me the payoff letter and report it as paid to the credit bureau). Extremely unproffessional establishment . |

Get out of this company as soon as you can. If you have a loan transferring to them, best to go elsewhere and get away. My credit is further messed up due to them double charging me for two months and THEN coding everything as a reversal from here on out. So every single payment I've made since July has been reversed and I am now 60+ days past due |

This company is an absolute joke. Marcus by Goldman Sachs sold my account to them or else I would have never become their customer. Their website and phone systems are straight out of 2002. Once I finally found their phone number (which was annoying since they have the world's most generic company name) I received a message that they were closed for the day. The next day my call was answered by a very pleasant agent who said he unfortunately had to transfer me to another department. "Unfortunate" was correct. An automated system answered requiring me to give them all the info I gave the first time. I gave it all the info and it gave me my next payment date. I then had to navigate the menu to get a payoff and request to make a payment. The moment I requested to make a payment the system said "we apologize but we're having trouble with your request and need to transfer you to a representative." The guy who answered had the most monotone "why are you bothering me" voice I've ever heard (no exaggeration). He should work for the DMV. When I told him I wanted to pay off my loan he said "why didn't you do it online? You should have an account." I responded that I don't have an account because I never agreed to be their customer. He said "you should have signed up for an account. It's going to be harder for me to do this and it's going to take longer." He waited quietly to see if I'd just offer to get off of the phone and set up an account online. When I didn't, he said "okay, I'm going to put you on hold for a couple of minutes." Then I had to give him my info *again* and he put me on hold. When he came back a couple of minutes later he started reading off a bunch of legal compliance stuff and said he was recording the conversation. I finally just hung up and took care of it myself online because I was tired of feeling like I was inconveniencing him. I would have signed up online before, but my statement emails didn't include the account info I needed to set up online access. When I would try to view my actual statement it asked me for a password that I was never provided. Thankfully my first representative gave me the account number so I could take care of this. Every step of working with this company feels like I'm about to wire money to a Nigerian prince. The website is sketchy, the emails are sketchy, the phone system is sketchy and the domestic phone operators are terrible. The one decent interaction I had, my first representative, was in an overseas call center and frankly I hope he finds a better company to work for. With any luck my payment will process quickly and I'll never deal with this company again. Here's hoping no other, more reputable, companies sell my debt to this joke of a company. |

If there was 0 stars I’d give it. My loan was sold to them and no matter how many payments I make and no matter how many times my auto pay goes through on time, I’m always “late” on payments. They are predatory, with terrible customer service, and need to be audited and shut down.
