I purchased a fresh noble fir Christmas tree because they looked nice and I did not want to get soaked in the rain cutting a fresh one. They cut a piece off the bottom to make it take up water, and when I got home I cut off another 1" just to make sure there was a fresh cut before I put it in water. Next morning there was a pile of needles on the floor and no water had been taken up by the tree. I then checked it more carefully and found out it was not as fresh as it looked the day before. I then checked the tag more closely and discovered it was import from Oregon in the US. That explained why it was not fresh. It had been in storage for goodness knows how long. Why do Canadians import fresh Christmas trees to BC when we are a province full of fresh Christmas trees and are suffering under a punishing soft wood lumber tariffs put on by the US? Had I looked closely at the tag I would not have bought it. The price was exorbitant $169.99 plus taxes for a 6-7 foot tree. My next tree will be a quality tree from BC even if I have to get soaked.

I found the website to be a bit confusing to navigate at first, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to find some great art pieces.

My favorite and I think the best nursery in the Lower Mainland. Not only does Art Knapp have so many varieties of plants and flowers, but this wonderful place also has great selections of fashions, purses, jewellery, home décor, hot tubs, and amazing collections of wind chimes and much more. The way they manage the store is amazing. It's so beautiful inside and outside the store. There is also a mini-golf course for families to enjoy as well. The staff are knowledgeable and always helpful. This hidden gem is a must-visit in the Lower Mainland.

After driving by this place so many times to go for a walk I finally made it inside. 😅 What a great store! Not only a big selection of all sorts of plants but also garden decor, seed and bulb packs, housewares, bird houses and supplies, clothing, hot tubs and even a candy section. 🍭🍡 Give yourself time to snoop around!!
