Calls are not returned. Hours around holidays are vague.

There we go again! The chamber does not support local businesses like they claim! Makes you wonder what town are they supporting!! I mentioned a couple years ago they paid $10,000 dollars to an outside artist to do a mural downtown. Their are a lot of stuggling qualified, talented artists that would have loved to have to a least have been able to bid on that mural. The money would have stayed in our economy!! Shame, Shame on them!! Any one of our artists would have painted that simple artwork cheaper and as good!! They said, they used a well known artist from another area to draw attention! Now they supported another business out of our state! They spent $200,000 on a horrible logo for our city. Being a computer artist, I can tell, someone spent a least 20 minutes to come up with the most uncreative design I have ever seen representing Bakersfield. I'm sure that the are a lot of creative graphic artists and designers that would have loved to bid on that project. And, their is $200,000 that won't be spent back in our economy!! So, who is our Chamber representing? NOT US!
