I contacted Kathy about doing SEO for my website and got to speak to her at length about strategies for increasing my visibility on the web. She was very friendly, helpful, and had much wisdom and expertise to share on the topic. I appreciate what she shared greatly and admire her for her integrity as well as generosity. When I am ready to upgrade my website I will go to her; I trust her and the quality of her work implicitly.

When I showed up at Kathy’s Saratoga office it was with the intention to revamp my existing website for no more than an updated electronic business card. During our first meeting she took the time to ask questions about my business, needs and budget. At our follow up meeting Kathy and her team created a personal business presentation showing where my existing website stood in the world of searching, Internet presence and the possibilities of what a good site could do for my business. Kathy at Kat & Mouse did a great job designing and implementing a website for me quickly and on a low budget. I was impressed with her expertise and her availability. She actually answers the phone and talks with her clients! If I had a problem or question, it was always taken care of promptly. She is patient and I think truly enjoys helping people work out their questions and priorities when it comes to website design. She was great to work with.

My wife teaches a class at our home in San Jose. Recently we realized that, due to our neglect, the web site describing this class had disappeared from the Internet. Although we quickly published a new site, we found that it isn't so easy to get the attention of the search engines. Over the previous 15 years or so, our old site had always appeared on the first page of results when we searched for it using a few key words, but the new site we had just created didn't show up at all. After reading some Yelp reviews, we decided to sign up for Kathy's Kick Start service. Kathy and an assistant had prepared for our interview by researching similar classes and programs in related fields. They spent over 3 hours with us, explaining the things that we needed to do to optimize our site so that it would be detected by search engines. They gave us a lot of homework, some of which was frankly tedious (such as contacting about 15 directories on the web and filling out their on-line forms). We were able to complete nearly all of this homework within a week or so. Kathy watched our progress from afar, sending a number of suggestions by email and responding to the many questions that came up during the process. She did not send us a bill until she was satisfied with the results. It takes the search engines a week or so to respond to changes made to a web site, and it also takes time for web directories to process information that they receive. We gradually made a number of changes to our site and waited to see the results. The result was almost an embarrassment of riches! Less than three weeks after our initial consultation with Kathy, when we searched for our site using the same key words that had failed to work in the past, we found that we occupied about 8 of 10 search results on the first page and about 6 results on the second page. Two months later, we're still seeing similar results. Needless to say, we're very happy with this outcome. Kathy knows a lot about search engine optimization, and we benefited greatly from her knowledge and experience.

I've been taking a weekly marketing class with Kat & Mouse. The class is held every Thursday night at their location in Downtown Saratoga and costs $25. It is the best money I have ever spent! The content is so relevant to exactly what I need to learn for my marketing position. I leave class inspired and have a new passion for my job as a result of this class. I can't wait to learn more! I heard Kathy talk at a recent Meetup meeting and was anxious to learn more about SEO so I took her Thursday evening SEO class in Saratoga. Kathy did a great job of explaining how search engines crawl pages and suggesting things that we can control to legitimately increase SEO on our site.
