Had a bit of a funny experience with one of the co-founders, Jeremy MacLeod, on Instagram. Jeremy had made a comment on a video of what looked to be young folks riding e-bikes on a golf course. The direct quote was “It should be legal to shoot anyone on an e-bike who isn't delivering food.” Not exactly the sort of utterance one should make when inhabiting such a lofty position in a prestigious company, particularly when my hometown of Sydney, Australia, is still reeling from a mass shooting. Also surprising to hear someone pass a comment like this when one has children of their own. Perhaps joking about shooting minors is perceived differently in the United States, but I’m pretty sure it’s as grossly inappropriate and abhorrent as it is here. Screenshot of quote attached for reference. To his credit, Jeremy deleted the original post, but not before I screenshotted the entire exchange. Let me know if you would like to see what else your illustrious co-founder wrote, though it does make for some pretty vile and confrontational reading.
