Do not use The CE Shop if you are a multi-state appraiser and need reliable continuing education documentation. I completed an appraisal continuing education course through The CE Shop. I am licensed in two states and requested an additional certificate of completion for my North Carolina licensing records. I was not asking The CE Shop to misrepresent course approval, claim anything false, or do anything unusual. I simply needed separate documentation showing that I completed the course, with the normal information a licensing board would expect: course title, provider, completion date, credit hours, and my license information. The CE Shop refused. I even offered to pay a reasonable administrative fee for the additional certificate. They still refused. When I asked them to identify the specific rule, appraisal board instruction, contract provision, or written requirement that supposedly prevents them from issuing an additional certificate, they would not provide it. Their position was that the governing agreements are confidential and cannot be distributed. That is the part other licensed professionals need to understand. The CE Shop is asking students to accept “we are not permitted” as the answer, while refusing to provide the actual rule or document that supposedly prohibits them from helping a paying student document completed education for a second state. A certificate of completion is basic proof that a student finished a course. In more than 35 years in the appraisal profession, other education providers I have dealt with have routinely assisted multi-state licensees with separate state documentation, often for a small administrative fee. The CE Shop would not do so, would not provide the specific authority they were relying on, and offered no practical solution. This may not matter if you only hold one license in one state. But if you are an appraiser or real estate professional licensed in more than one state, this is a serious problem. Before purchasing anything from The CE Shop, get their certificate and reporting policies in writing and make sure they will provide exactly what your licensing records require. Based on this experience, I will not use The CE Shop again. I would strongly discourage other multi-state appraisers from using them, especially anyone who needs clear, complete, and state-specific continuing education documentation.

While the content is ok, their courses take forever to load. When I resume a session after taking a break, it takes almost 3 minutes to get back to where was. The same thing happens when moving from section to section. I estimate I've already spent well over an hour just watching screens load and I'm only 25% through the course. Furthermore, support is less than zero, even through chat. My cable company's support is way better and that's an extremely low bar. I would keep looking.

Don't be a sucker and believe you have 1 day when you truly only have a few hours left to complete a course. This is a miss guidance that makes this service make more money. It's not to their advantage to help you NOT miss your end date. They want to charge you again. By telling you you have 1 day ( 24 hrs ) when in reality it's not true you only have hours left to complete the course. I believe their "1 day left" scam and now have to pay again and sit and do the 20hr course again. Bad business CEshop :(

Do yourself a favor and don't even waste your time on their online classes. Customer service/ tech team is basically non existent. Been trying to get a hold of them for the past 3 days, no response on when anything is gonna get fixed. There are deadlines for certain assignments and tests and you don't get access to your courses after a certain amount of time. Biggest scam and biggest waste of money. Will be calling my bank and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. PS: They blocked my Facebook after I reached out about my concerns through there😂

If I could give this company the worst rating, I would. My husband is an Appraiser and Broker. He signed up to use the CE Shop for an online Broker course. We were not aware they only allow 30 DAYS to take the course. On day 31 my husband went to take the course and it said it EXPIRED. He was a first time client and was not aware of this rule. He called and spoke to a rep that told him that is was a NC Rule that a Broker/Appraisal classes have to be taken. My husband looked it up but already knew this was a lie. He told the rep she was being dishonest and she corrected herself that it is a CE Shop rule. Be forewarned if you sign up for a course you have to take it within 30 days. My husband explained he was a first time client and takes a lot of courses and asked them to resend the course or refund since he never was able to take the course or get his certificate. They REFUSED to assist since it was 1 day past the 30 days. This company is the biggest scam. This is an ONLINE class, not a physical class, no where else has had a expiration date. My husband asked for help as he wanted to be able to continue with CE SHOP in the future but they have lost our business. He now has to pay for the course again at a discounted cost for 1 day. Terrible reps.

I’ve used the CE shop religiously over the years as I am licensed in many states. Always been a good experience until their IT issues with migration a few weeks ago. ALL of my courses disappeared except for one course I completed 2 years ago. The biggest concern right now, I’m currently 89 hours through a 90-hour course and after 3 weeks of calling, numerous techs advising there’s no ETA on a fix and my case has been escalated, that a supervisor will call (but never does)… today they offer me a refund so I can take my courses elsewhere. Wow! Appalling. I asked them how they expect to compensate for the 89 hours of time I’ve already spent in the course - no good answer aside for 15 credits to future courses or a refund. Wow again. Man, I don’t leave bad reviews ever. But people need to see this and the CE Shop’s leadership team needs to see this. Not good.

Normal Customer service and support are both very confusing to me and quite often when I talk to a support person it gets more confusing and I get frustrated. Not today! I had the pleasure of being connected to **Natalie A** who was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. **Natalie A** waited while I logged in to my account from my desktop and Walked me through the process online and then stayed with me giving me gentle instructions, step by step all the way through until I opened up the cart and then proceeded to place my order. She completely changed my experience to a very pleasant one! I would recommend that you ask for her by name when you need help at the CE Shop, because she seems to know everything, and she is very patient like a kindergarten or first grade teacher:) I can't say enough about my interaction with her and I'm very excited about being a customer of the CE Shop because of her. I have used CE Shop several times in the past because I got my Real Estate salesperson license in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Florida. And then I got my Real Estate Broker's license in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Florida. I have continued to use the CE Shop again and again because each time I need help They always answer quickly and they train their people very well so they are ready to overcome every issue that I have presented them... I finished up the 75 hour NJ Real Estate Salesperson course just over a week ago. I do feel that the course, along with the extra Exam Prep Edge content, did a VERY good job at preparing me for my exam. After finishing the initial course, I spent a few days drilling the practice exams on the Prep Edge section over and over again, to become more comfortable with the various topics. I just took the actual NJ Exam 2 days ago, and passed on the first try! I am not really sure what I scored; they only tell you if you passed or failed, but I DID feel pretty confident with the majority of my answers. There were only a small handful where I just had to submit a "best and most logical/reasonable guess." So, overall, 5 stars, and would definitely recommend this course to others, or at least for those studying for the NJ Salesperson license!

I signed up with The CE Shop to take my real estate CE courses. I wanted to explore listening to the classes in lieu of reading. Natalie Antonucci took the time and went above and beyond gracefully trouble shooting and trying different solutions to make the screen reader on my laptop work. I’ll fully own the fact that I mistakenly purchased the wrong Maryland CE package and didn’t realize the Fair Housing elective wasn’t included. That part is on me. What I find downright cruel and predatory is that the 3-hour Fair Housing course is $60 on its own — and even with the “discount” for having already taken it through the DC package, it still costs $34. Meanwhile, the exact same course in most other states runs $15–$17 (and some are as low as $4). The CE Shop is well aware that most agents in the DMV are licensed in all three jurisdictions — and it’s painfully obvious they’re taking advantage of that fact. This isn’t about policy. It’s about squeezing every last dollar from customers who have to complete these courses. I’ve used this company for years, but after this experience I’ll gladly take my business to a CE provider that actually values loyalty instead of preying on it.

One April 29, 2025 at 2 PM EST, I attended a zoom meeting for a Broker in Charge Update Course with a CE Shop instructor. I paid $63.67 on April 14, 2025 for the course, Order Number: 4769796. I fulfilled all of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's requirements by attending the course. The instructor informed the class that no further action was necessary to receive reported credit for the course. He concluded by stating that an optional "final exam", which is a single question survey, would be available to us on our student portal at the CE Shop's website, which would allow us to receive confirmation for our own records that the class had been completed. It is June 2nd and my credit has not yet been reported to NCREC. I need this credit reported to maintain my real estate license in good standing. I have several complaints regarding this. Firstly, I have contacted CE Shop staff three times, both by phone and online chat to resolve this matter. Each time, I was told that someone would contact me by email. No one ever has. Secondly, the "final exam" survey never appeared in my student portal, as I was told it would. Staff advised me that I needed an access code. Access code to what? There is nowhere to enter an access code. The instructor said that a link would appear under the My Courses tab, but it is not there. Thirdly, no final exam or survey or any such thing is required by NCREC for credit for this course. I do not consent to any extra requirements being added to receive my credit for this course. Finally, I was told by an agent on the phone that someone would contact me within 72 hours to resolve this matter, but I waited a week and received no help. The failure of the CE Shop to even follow through on their promises to contact me promptly supports the conclusion that they do not take their obligations to their clients seriously. Anyone who trusts this company to provide them with their license requirements risks their professional credentials.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS “COURSE”. Nobody teaches you anything! If you want to learn something don’t waste your money with the CE Shop. They don’t care at all. There’s no audiobooks no real people, no class room, no zoom calls, no help. Just you and a bunch of reading. You can’t move forward if you don’t pass their little test and just more reading and reading. No questions no anything. You are better off studying on your own and purchasing a course that has a class room for your hours. Don’t make the same mistake I made and invest your money somewhere else. Good luck. Edit: their customer service won’t work with you either. They follow rules and don’t understand reason nor have critical thinking. It’s all fake.
