I mailed a one month payment for my Internet service on 5-30-25. The check was not cashed and I received another bill for two months. I went ahead and sent a check for 3 months on 6-25-25 to catch up and get ahead, in case they never do get the first check I sent. Then I received a notification that they will cut off my service if they don't receive my payment. I checked the bank and neither check has cleared. I called and was encouraged to do auto payments so this doesn't happen again. I do not want auto payments, and I don't want to pay a fee to cancel outstanding checks. After questioning, I was told that they have not been receiving a lot of payments recently, and are sending out many cutoff notifications. I encouraged her to contact the Post Office about this as payments are sent to a physical address and could be getting stolen.I also suggested they get a PO Box for security. She said that wasn't up to her. I felt she wasn't taking any initiative to resolve the problem or investigate this. If others reading this are experiencing the same issue, please let them know. |

Customer service is worst then ever no comparison with any other. Peggy refuses to conatct manger or even leave a note for the mamnger becauae the subject was not valid. Whats that. Peggy filters whats valid and not valid. Customer service not able to be met with this company. Constantly loosing internet service! Company constantly has tech issues and support issues. . Customer service. Peggy will not let a customer talk with out talking at the same time will not listen to the inquiry. |

Absolutely sick of the outages. I've lived in my house for about 5 years now, and have had Tel-Star the entire time. The outages happen often, once or twice a month it seems. They last anywhere from several hours to several days. They've never offered a discount or anything to compensate for these outages. Just the standard "I'm sorry" which really doesn't cut it, especially since they charge more than most providers. This company is definitely sorry, and I'm done putting up with it. Just this year, they installed fiber in my area, and the outages have become more frequent. Not to mention, their techs didn't even bury the line deep enough, about a foot or two is visibly above ground in my driveway, it's ridiculous. If you're looking for internet and have options, I strongly recommend you look into other options. |

Started off loving this company and the service. Internet was fast, reliable, and billing was simple. I was told they would not raise rates like competitors, and there were no data limits or hidden fees. Since install, my bill has increased, I have received overage fees for data usage, and the service seems to have outages once or twice a month, lasting for significant time. I have yet to receive any offer of credit, explanation for an outage, or even an estimate of when a service return to normal would occur. Usually only a 'we are aware of the outage' or insincere 'sorry.' Service is decent when it works, although internet speeds are very inconsistent. Even tried replacing modem, router, and using different devices to test the speed with same results day to day. Still would recommend over Comcast/Xfinity but not rate above i3 Broadband. I would curb expectations with this company especially if you live in rural areas. |

Our service has been amazing! The staff are knowledgeable and really friendly. We had a modem go out and they tested and replaced it for free since we rent with them. Found out all the details about fiber optic the same day. Great follow up, and excellent customer service. Shout out to Kyle and Peggy for all the follow-up and communication. It really makes the difference!! |

I would not recommend this internet provider. That have so many outages and they last for hours. This is the only internet provider that will work in the area we live and I wish that wasn’t the case because I would switch right away. I only feel bad for their service people that have to answer this phone. The cost for service is ridiculous for how much it doesn’t work.
