Shopmonkey has been really good to us. It’s very intuitive, which makes onboarding simple and was the main reason we chose it. They also seem committed to improving the areas that need work. If you’re looking for a robust inventory management system, this isn’t it… yet. That said, they do seem to be working on it—I had a half-hour call with them the other day (which they initiated) to talk about how their inventory management could improve and what we, as users, would like to see. |

Shopmonkey has a lot of good features and then it has some fatal flaws for a company like ours. We are a restoration shop that provides restoration, service, and sales of classic European sports cars. We are hourly not flat rate. So we're unique compared to most shops On the positive side, SM is easy to use, looks very professional, and quickly conveys a sense of confidence to your customers. On the negative side (varying degrees): Terrible Product Support. You do not have an assigned account manager so you go into the support pool and you waste so much time explaining repeating your operation and often the situation every time you call. And I would rather pull my finger nails out than enter the chat room. They don't have the answer but say they'll put in a ticket and I never heard back. There was one tech that was great but his availability was nil. We eventually just gave up and accepted the capabilities and eventually left SM They don't implement upgrades. I spent countless time documenting and submitting upgrades and not one was ever implemented. In fact, the number one tool we asked for was better visibility into "performance to plan". Not only did they not improve that capability but they actually removed the capability that was there when they came out with version #2. So sad. Why? We offered many times to provide recommendations and I guess they felt they knew better than the users. We are unique and may not represent the SM market. Not sure. If you use SM for the taking payments it takes a couple three days for the money to get into your account. We would take payments through Quick Books which was immediate. We would like to convey confidence that we have a very fancy SMS system but when I tell the customers our system is called "shopmonkey" that confidence is not conveyed. Sounds like a cheap tool. Really liked the Team and really wanted SM to be the solution; however, that never happened. Over the past few months we've done a lot or research on tools that meet our needs and we're switching to Tekmetric combined with AutoVitals. A touch more expensive but great visibility and tools that allow track performance to plan real time as well as the ability to implement an incentive plan. I sincerely wish SM had worked or us. At the beginning I would spend my weekends asking questions and making recommendations. I lost my enthusiasm when I was completely ignored. Some great people work there. Seems like their website is always down and you can’t never get a hold of nobody Other than the computer virtual chat They wanna cost you money, but they won’t take nothing off your bill. And I’ve been with them since day, one. And I am inches from going back to Mitchell shop Management or try autoleap only reason I use it is for my wife because yes it’s easy To navigate.half a hour before I open and it’s down agin if I was anyone else I would look at other options. |

We used shop monkey for our shop for almost two years and were pushed to give feedback on improving their platform. We were given a lower rate because they were new. But I will say that this was not worth the pay difference. They never listened to us. One tech per job? Are you kidding? Inspection formula that was built in Windows 97? Metrics and company performance statistics written out like 90s ebay website. Its very poorly designed and heres the creme of the crop - we wanted help with understanding a few things with shop monkey that was confusing and they wanted to charge us... ready... $200 for a formal meeting. WHAT? The worst thing we experienced was fraud. A client did a chargeback of $14,500 and they took days to reach out to us. In fact we had to reach out to them to figure out what was going on. They took forever to reply and we believe they missed the window to send our dispute information over to the chargeback claim (bank). We had 100% all the correct evidence that the chargeback was fraudulent but shop monkey failed to defend us or to properly update the bank. We are in the process of investigating and possibly litigating. We are leaving shop monkey due to legal disputes, lack of user interface updates or better features. I wish them all the best but they have gravely failed to be a good provider of services, lied and given us poor customer service. |

Shopmonkey is user friendly and helps us navigate our daily work flow in an organized manner. Their customer support is 10/10, agents are always helpful and knowledgeable. Pricing is great for all that the portal has to offer. |

We used Mitchell1 for years, due to customer service and billing issues we began testing other systems, Shop Monkey is easy to use; and the one thing I admire is that they actually implement user recommended changes which is a game changer - they listen to their customers and constantly work to improve their product. Highly recommend! |

Shopmonkey is one the main reasons that we are as successful as we are as a company. There have been some issues here and there, but I have had issues with every software that I have ever used ever. Things will come up and its how it is handled that makes the difference. Shopmonkey has always come through and fixed things timely. Over the last 9 months we have had zero issues. We are almost 4 years into the software and I wouldn't recommend anything else. |

Omar at Shopmonkey in the billing department is fantastic. I called and asked is i could add inspection reports to my basic package, he said he would try as it might be difficult, but Omar talked to his higher ups and made it happen for for just $25 extra added on to my monthly price. I have used shopmonkey for 7 years or so now growing from 1 shop to 3. I have had great times and bad times as development of the site has changed! Now with all shopmonkey attention on the new version all I see is better service, support and reliability. I did figure out some of our older computer did not meet configurations to move at optimal speed and since I upgraded them all problems are gone. Keeping in great communications with my customer rep has been the key to my success and the information on upcoming changes makes me more excited all the time! Highly recommend Shopmonkey for all levels of the automotive service business.
