I will continue to share my experience far and wide because it's been echoed by many people, mainly POC, who have been run off of the platform by racists and fascists that Nextdoor put into the position of staff, local leads and moderators. They submit false reports on dissenting minority community members to get their accounts locked and suspended. My long standing account with a history of local animal rescue was indefinitely suspended because they claimed my ethnic name was fake - this came after other racially motivated reports. Nextdoor claimed my account was temporarily suspended and asked me to verify my identity for it to be restored, but I will not provide them any further personal information or return to that platform. My data is not safe with a company where staff and volunteers abuse their privilege to harass and silence minorities.

This website is controlled by trolls I responded to a pet question and was suspended claiming national politics. They don’t read the complaints and block who ever they like for whatever they want.

The app is rampant with biased Moderators who have no problem with breaking their own rules in order to punish innocent people who haven't broken any rules. One of the rules for Moderators basically states that Moderators cannot be bias. But many break that rule. And despite Support even stating via email that they'd look into it. No action is ever taken against the corrupt Moderators. They're just allowed to continue to run rampant without consequences.

This is a reply to "dev everything." I find what you say very interesting. The reason, I've run into the complete opposite of that ....🤷 here on the other coast. Helping a twp that helps people who wear white sheets and pillow cases, disturbing that is! 🤔

Nextdoor continues to charge me monthly ($150) for a business page that they removed. This has happened for 3 months now. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and also with the Attorney General's office in an effort to stop them. I have attempted to contact them, but the "contact form" never opens, just takes you back to a login screen. I called and left a message, got no response. DO NOT subscribe to a business page.

Visiting SF and yes I saw the nextdoor HQ on Taylor street. Its really by the tenderloins. So at least the HQ is in a problem neighbourhood, we can give them that. Lots of drug use and antisocial behaviour in this part of SF, but generally safe.
