Moderators are biased and will unjustly suspend accounts of other participants despite they themselves violating guidelines. If you choose to be close-minded, then this is the site for you. If you are moderate and really want to understand all perspectives before making a decision, then go elsewhere because this site has become way too left-leaning at times with how moderators take action (or sometimes, no actions at all with certain bullies/hired lobbyists who are known to troll other participants). The number of moderate voters have been steadily increasing in San Francisco because many regular, hard-working folks have gotten fed up with far-left leaning policies. It's a good thing San Francisco has Mayor Lurie working to bring back some common sense.

I have not used McAfee in 15 years, yet I’m suddenly getting aggressive emails claiming they’re about to take hundreds of dollars from my account. So I called. Hung up on twice the moment I said “scam emails.” Third guy? Laughed at me. Told me to “calm down.” Provided zero actual information. Zero. If this is supposedly a legitimate company, why are they: • Sending panic-inducing billing threats • Refusing to answer basic questions • Hanging up when you mention fraud • Talking down to women like we’re hysterical And no, I don’t care about polished PR responses. I care about how women are treated when we call. If your “support” line consists of condescending men who think laughing at customers is customer service, that’s not a tech issue — that’s a culture issue. The emails are aggressive. The phone support is dismissive. The experience feels predatory. Women: if you get these emails, slow down. Don’t click anything. Don’t give them your card. Don’t let anyone gaslight you into “calming down” for asking where your money is going. I recorded the calls. Receipts are coming. Zero stars.

I will continue to share my experience far and wide because it's been echoed by many people, mainly POC, who have been run off of the platform by racists and fascists that Nextdoor put into the position of staff, local leads and moderators. They submit false reports on dissenting minority community members to get their accounts locked and suspended. My long standing account with a history of local animal rescue was indefinitely suspended because they claimed my ethnic name was fake - this came after other racially motivated reports. Nextdoor claimed my account was temporarily suspended and asked me to verify my identity for it to be restored, but I will not provide them any further personal information or return to that platform. My data is not safe with a company where staff and volunteers abuse their privilege to harass and silence minorities.

This website is controlled by trolls I responded to a pet question and was suspended claiming national politics. They don’t read the complaints and block who ever they like for whatever they want.

The app is rampant with biased Moderators who have no problem with breaking their own rules in order to punish innocent people who haven't broken any rules. One of the rules for Moderators basically states that Moderators cannot be bias. But many break that rule. And despite Support even stating via email that they'd look into it. No action is ever taken against the corrupt Moderators. They're just allowed to continue to run rampant without consequences.

This is a reply to "dev everything." I find what you say very interesting. The reason, I've run into the complete opposite of that ....🤷 here on the other coast. Helping a twp that helps people who wear white sheets and pillow cases, disturbing that is! 🤔

Nextdoor continues to charge me monthly ($150) for a business page that they removed. This has happened for 3 months now. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and also with the Attorney General's office in an effort to stop them. I have attempted to contact them, but the "contact form" never opens, just takes you back to a login screen. I called and left a message, got no response. DO NOT subscribe to a business page.

Visiting SF and yes I saw the nextdoor HQ on Taylor street. Its really by the tenderloins. So at least the HQ is in a problem neighbourhood, we can give them that. Lots of drug use and antisocial behaviour in this part of SF, but generally safe.
