Calling my 16 yo child who doesn’t even know her own social security number so there’s absolutely no way the kid could possibly be in debt with any company anywhere unless someone stole her social. Called to ask why they were spam calling my kid and the lady who answered wouldn’t even tell me they were a collection agency but instead tried to get MY information to tack on a fake debt under MY info. Instead of these companies being honest and giving us the information of how they got our info, so we can go after who is ruining my child’s credit before she even gets a chance to live her life, they try to legitimize false debts. Ridiculous. I love when people are dumb. Not today.

This place is a bunch or scam artist Someone in Detroit Michigan had same name as mine and had account with comcast I filed a change of address in Alabama and Convegent sent me the bill like it was mine. It stated that if I do not dispute it they consider it my bill. That should be illegal... So now comcast and convergent say if I dont show proof it was not me they will ruin my 800+ credit score

I dealt with two other collection agencies Ars collection Services and Commonwealth collection services. Both of these agencies were really good, really polite. But Convergent Outsourcing is a different story. I had a debt with T-Mobile for $420.58. I didn't like how the agent was talking to me. So I went through T-Mobile to pay off the debt. And whenever I told Convergent Outsourcing this they told me they wanted the reference number. I gave him the reference number and the employing number who I paid too. This was on the 30th of July 2020. Three weeks have passed and I'm still getting calls from convergent. I gave the reference number to three different agents from them. And then finally I was told the reference number is not good enough they want to see a bank statement. I told them I can do better I can give them the receipt from T-Mobile. I sent the receipt through their email -#clerks@convergentusa.com- . I called the next day and the day after that. And talk to three different agents from their company no one can find the receipt that I sent through the THEIR e-mail. And get this, each time that I talk to them they wanted me to give them the $420.58. Why should I have to pay double for? The thing is they are mad because I went through T-Mobile and not through them. I will say this, they have one good Agent there and her name is Amber White. She actually called me to smooth things over with the first rude agent that I dealt with. And I tried to get her on the line, but for some reason whenever I ask for her I'm always given to someone else and whenever I asked to be sent to Amber White I'm always denied. The good in all of this T-Mobile is going to take action. They are going to handle my situation themselves, and for me not to call Convergent Outsourcing again. And they did take my full complaint/story down with Convergent Outsourcing. Update as of Tuesday, August 18 2020. Three days after Owner, which was a copy and paste response. Called the number that was given and pressed 0# to be sent to operator. Told them I need to speak with someone to make a complaint. I was then sent to another dept collector agent who was dense in the head. Told him 3 times I need to speak with someone to make a complaint and all he wanted to do was to talk about when i paid and who i paid too. And during the whole time I heard kids and a woman's voice in the background. And agent wanted me to give him my full social? Just like the my favourite line from Coals Miner' s Daughter : I may be stupid but i aint ignorant.

Total scam company! They called me 4 times in 1 day and claimed to be calling on behalf of T-Mobile. When I asked T-Mobile, they said they have never heard of the company nor had they handed my account over for collection (I was all paid up with, and had left T-Mobile months before). I got a call from a Xavier Calliste from Convergent Outsourcing. When he said "all calls are recorded" I told him that I was also recording the call. He went quiet, then said he "couldn't authorize that and had to cut the call."

This Company is a scam, they sent me a letter stating I owe an Optimum debt - I called them stating I payed that debt already; I called Optimum to find out what's going on, Optimum said they didn't sent any collection to this company, and that it was probably a scam. I looked them up in consumers affairs, and saw all the complains on how the ripped off a lot of people. If these idiots ask for your SSN or birthdate, Do Not give it to them, your identity is going to be stolen...
