I recently ordered flowers for a friend who was a patient at Atrium Health Baptist Medical Center. I chose a local florist because they offered next-day delivery at a reasonable price, and the online ordering process was easy. They sent me a picture of the arrangement I ordered, and they were beautiful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. At 7:30 a.m. on the delivery day, the florist called to say they “have issues delivering to the hospital” and would need to use a third-party delivery service. They informed me the delivery fee would increase from the $9.99 I had already paid to $14.99. I agreed. When placing the order, I was asked to provide the recipient’s phone number. Since my friend was sick, I didn’t want to share her number and instead gave my own. I’m very glad I did. Later that day, I received a call from the delivery driver because he didn’t know where to go. He was at the Cancer Center and needed directions to the main entrance. I stayed on the phone with him while he drove there, giving step-by-step directions. Once he arrived, he asked someone, apparently valet attendants, where to deliver the flowers. They told him to go to the parking deck. He parked and walked to the entrance. I was still on the phone with him. When he got to the entrance, he told there was a line. I explained that he needed to go through security and would need his driver’s license. He told me he didn’t have his ID and said the florist had told him to “just give the flowers to the front desk.” It was clear he had no familiarity with this hospital or its procedures or even with with the florist. I stayed on the phone with him for about 15 minutes while he tried to sort everything out. Thankfully, once he reached the front, hospital staff accepted the flowers. I was shocked to learn that a local florist outsourced delivery to a third party, specifically Roadie, especially for a hospital delivery. If my friend’s phone number had been used, she would have had to deal with all of this herself. If you’re sending flowers to Atrium Health Baptist Medical Center, I strongly recommend choosing a different florist. Edit. This is in response to their reply. They did not tell me any of the reasons that they have “issues” at BMC. And there was no reason the delivery driver would lie. I could tell talking to him that he had no idea about the procedures of the hospital. It should be listed on their website that they use a third-party delivery to BMC. |

I placed my order online after searching local Florist in Winston Salem. I was pleased with the selection of flowers available. My order was delivered by 2pm same day without issue. I even received a picture of my gorgeous arrangement before it went out for delivery! This was a huge plus! This florist is now my go to florist for all my future arrangements! I needed a floral arrangement for a funeral in Winston Salem. I found this family owned local florist nearby with good reviews. I placed my order online which was such a simple process. I received my email confirmation of the order. I was shocked the next day to receive an email picture showing me my arrangement with bow etc included. This extra mile of customer service is so refreshing and a wonderful example of why buying local matters. |

We came in at last minute for senior gifts for a collegiate track team. Picked up a dozen roses. The wonderful lady helping us kindly tied ribbons around each rose in the school colors and put individual water holders on each rose. We feel indebted to her for helping us at the last minute, when I am sure she had other orders to fill. Definitely pick up your flowers from this store!
