I wish Atrium wasn’t moving away from Medcost next year. Great experience calling to ask benefit questions with knowledgeable, friendly people every time. The SmartStarts program with Nurse Tracie was phenomenal!! As my first pregnancy and child, she felt like a massive support as we navigated each step along the way. She was super knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and answered every question I had (and even questions I didn’t know I had). I hope the SmartStarts program continues to be offered indefinitely. |

MyCarePath is an awesome benefit to anyone looking for assistance with healthcare needs. Being able to be coached through my weight loss journey was a blessing and very beneficial. Nurse Greg is awesome! He was very patient and encouraging through my process. Keep up the great work! |

This is by far the worst insurance I have ever dealt with. I've received thousands of dollars in medical bills for things that every other insurance I have ever had would have paid. When you call and ask why the numbers they come up with are basically quantum physics equations probably generated by an algorithm. For a $400 a month policy, you would expect to have some coverage when you actually need it. Claims take forever to process and doctors may you pay up front because they know Medcost is so bad, so I've spent months waiting for money from providers so I can pay my other medical bills that aren't covered. I know the whole state of medical insurance is terrible right now, but I promise this one is worse. Don't get Medcost. Advocate to your employers not to contract with Medcost. Tbh the costumer service reps have been very kind and patient, but there isn't really much they can do. |

MedCost pays back less than any insurance company which is causing many practices not to accept them anymore. I was just told I would have to pay out of pocket due to one of my providers no longer accepting them because MedCost doesn’t want to pay them. Think twice you might not save what you think. Tell MedCost you want to pay them a fraction of the premium and see what they say. They will cancel your insurance is what will happen which is what’s happening to them. GREED! The 4 STAR RATING is a joke! Most of the people giving 5 STARS basically had a questions answered nicely from customer service so they gave them 5 stars. They’ll learn, give em time. |

Medcost incorrectly classified a portion of my care as out-of-network. The provider was assigned by the in-network facility where I received care, and I had no knowledge of who I would see, nor any say over which provider I saw during my care. I explained this to them, and that the No Surprises Act requires any such care received to be treated as in-network, but the agent I spoke with refused to acknowledge that I did not have the ability to choose (and verify) the provider I saw before receiving care. Update: I emailed MBSCS as requested below on December 3rd. It's been a week with no response.
