While it’s nice that they take insurance here, they create several mechanisms to get a fee or have you to pay for the full session and charge your card without giving any explanation. In that sense, any therapists that I went before would try to be helpful in a moment of crisis and help you get back on your feet. Here, when you’re in crisis and not well they treat you as a liability and try to not implicate themselves, so complete waste of time trying to get help here.

I see a therapist at this office and she is so so lovely. while she validates things that make me upset, she is always sure to make sure i’m not just being “enabled”. I have struggled with mental health my whole life and she has given me coping methods and good advice. while my provider is lovely, all my qualms are with the billing department. reading over reviews, i’m not alone on this. While i provided my insurance information before my first appointment, I have never once been billed through insurance. So even though my deductible is met, i’m paying out of pocket for each appointment. I have tried to contact the billing department ni less than six times. Many times through email and left countless voicemails. Even when I call during office hours listed on the answering machine, I still go to voicemail. This is an issue that NEEDS to be fixed.

While I appreciate my therapist, the office’s billing practices are shoddy at best. The portal doesn’t show you statement balances for session. Only when you have a balance can you access the area that allows you to pay. It gives you an option to keep your card on file which I have opted out of. If you pay your balance, there’s no actual confirmation page with a number for reference. Despite me opting out of keeping my card from being on file, I’ve had them charge me twice with zero communication. The first time, they charged me $90 for a no-show appointment that wasn’t a no-show. They did refund that, but I had no written communication from them before or after that charge. The second charge was for $9.27. I’m assuming this is for a session, but I couldn’t tell you, because I have NO statement to view, no email, nothing. After the mistaken $90 charge, I asked again for them to remove my card from being on file, so the fact that I have another charge is incredibly worrisome. I want to improve my mental health, not add to the anxiety. Go somewhere else where they’re able to manage a practice’s financials properly and ethically.
