Suggestion: If you want to deal with people having any integrity at all, you might want to steer clear of Bill Rapp Subaru. I was in the process of buying a used car and had requested that my mechanic look over the car prior to finalizing the purchase which was scheduled for the following day. The salesman asked for a $250 deposit to hold the car. I gave him my credit card and he came back saying the card had not been charged. I foolishly thought this meant they did not deem it necessary as it was late in the day and our salesperson had agreed to meet us the next day at our mechanic’s shop. We left with the salesperson saying he knew the location of the shop and would see us there tomorrow at 1pm. The next morning at 11:30 am we received a text saying the car had been sold to another buyer. I believe the general manager “Ernie B” knew he had another buyer and that is the reason he did not charge our credit card for the deposit. This is totally sleazy behavior and I can’t help but believe any business that allows this sort of activity should not ever be trusted. My advice would be to avoid this business.

Had the unfortunate circumstance of my engine failing in a 2 year old 41k mile car.. had it towed via Subaru to the dealer. My first interaction was with rich in service.. not a very pleasant person to speak with.. which I could live with if he would be willing to communicate, answer the phone or answer any questions..which he did very infrequently and honestly seemed like he felt I was bothering him when he did. I then spoke with hector in sales and vocalized my interest in just purchasing another vehicle as long as we could get Subaru to cover the engine failure. I stopped in and met with hector.. my interactions with hector were decent enough nothing special but nothing to complain about decent enough guy. I received a fair offer on my trade given the circumstances. Overall just a “meh” experience.. rich in service just really doesn’t seem to care much for his job. I would simply say I would never go out of my way to deal with bill rapp Subaru again if they where not 5 mins from my house,

Pleasant staff but they sold a vehicle that they knew was part of a class action lawsuit due to theft that could receive updates and fixes to prevent this. They chose to do nothing for the future safety of the buyer. Handed the car fax and acted like it was a supreme vehicle. It’s disgusting and disgraceful. You might be able to find a steal of a bargain but you might also buy a car that someone will steal! Buyer beware of a dishonest company.

I have purchased two vehicles from Bill Rapp and both times have had a terrific experience. Most recently, I worked with Sam C. who was great in communicating about available vehicles, and responded quickly to questions. When I went to look at and test drive cars, he was very helpful and went out of his way to find the best vehicle and edition that included the features I wanted. He was courteous, helpful, patient and a pleasure to work with through the process. I highly recommend Bill Rapp Subaru. A++

My wife and I are currently driving Subarus #5 and #6. The first four were bought at the Subaru dealer closest to home. When we were ready to buy #5, that dealer offered a price that seemed very high. So, we went comparison shopping. Rapp’s offer was simple, transparent and better. The whole process was like car buying should be. Sam and Julie made us feel more like valued customers than the dealer we had been going to for years. When we bought #6 a year or so later Sam and Matt made it just as simple and pleasant. I get service done there too, even though it's not close to home. They make it easy to wait for normal maintenance and the wait times are always reasonably short. On one visit for no wait service on a day they were really busy, they “put an extra guy” on and got cars back to waiting people earlier than first promised. I could have written that before and probably should have but I never got around to it. Recently though I had a great experience with the service department and Chris, one of the service consultants. He’d probably say he was just doing his job but the way he did it reminded me that Rapp Subaru and the people there are exceptional.

I have never had such an easy stress free car buying experience. I am currently on active duty serving in our nations Army, and have very little free time. Ernie and Stephen Rudenis went ABOVE and BEYOND to make this process not only easy but quick. I had very limited time to fly to syracuse to pick up the vehicle due to a family emergency, they had everything ready for me and I was done in 15 minutes. They had my car all set up with the remote start ready to activated by my phone, the paper work waiting for me to sign, and were ready to answer any questions I had about the vehicle or the contract. Even though the process was quick I felt so taken care of and it never seemed "rushed". Ive purchased a variety of vehicles throughout my life fromm mazda to mercedes benz and this was by far the MOST pleasant car buying experience I've had. They treated me with respect and courtesy. I'm proud to say I bought my car from Bill Rapp Subaru because of Ernie and Stephen.
