I have tried to contact customer service several times and they do not answer. My electricity bill arrived much higher than normal, I want a detailed explanation, but it is frustrating not to be able to talk to a representative to review consumption and explain the charges. They should improve customer service and communication with users. |

Price gouging, terrible website experience, unclear billing notices, frequent outages with slow repair times. The customer service is beyond embarrassing. For a utilities company and part of infrastructure they're borderline negligent. Learn how to treat the people of the community you serve with upfront billing communications, fair prices, and reliable service. |

I do not understand the negative reviews. I have lived in several states and dealt with different electric companies, and my NES bills have been lower than anywhere else for the same condo square footage. No hidden fees or added charges. Today I called to transfer service and reached a representative within seconds. She was professional and kind. In my experience, you receive the attitude you bring. |

I called to start service. The first rep was great, but the next was rude and dismissive when I asked a simple question about possible service interruptions for tenants. When I requested the survey, she hung up on me. Disappointing experience. Also, the “Power to Change” verbiage they use on the phone is misleading. It makes it sound mandatory when it’s not according to some of these reviews. That should be addressed. |

I STRONGLY suggest you do NOT go with NES for your electricity due to the horrible customer service. I have had problems with my bills that need to be resolved however everytime you call they tell you to email the remittance department and when you email it’s always a different person. Your situation just gets completely neglected and through the phone or email people are always saying they will call you back but never do. I have a problem yet I call because they say ‘if you have questions or concerns give us a call’ and then no one helps. I truly don’t know what they are getting paid for. I am so angry that I have to repeat my situation over and over again and they just do anything about it. They basically will make you double pay your bills. |

They put a random closed account with a balance on my online account/profile. Started using my payments to pay that account. Charged me late fees bc my payments were going to a closed account I have zero affiliation with (I just moved to Nashville), and refused to credit late payments to my actual account. Even went as far as trying to tell me that there’s no ability for me to pay my bill online, insinuating that I’m paying some other company and not them. 3 phone calls and 2 supervisors later, it’s finally taken care of, but that was scammy as hell. |

Customer service rep always has a foul attitude whenever I call. My bill was $300+ than my last bill and I called to ask about what could be causing that. Right off the bat, she said that they don’t work like that and couldn’t give me an explanation. For someone dealing with my power AND my money, I would at least expect some type of answer or at least not immediately be given an attitude.
