Even though we live in south Austin, I have been traveling north to Cedar Park to have my eyeglasses made at ClearChoice EyeCare for approximately 14 years. ClearChoice EyeCare’s service, quality, and professional staff (especially Harry Perez) have always been well worth the drive north to Cedar Park. I have a very complex eyeglasses prescription that includes five diopters of vertical prism, and even a slight deviation in my prescription from the prescribed prescription by my eye doctor can cause me to have eye strain, headache, or double vision. ClearChoice EyeCare staff always ensures that the eyeglasses they dispense to me are precisely accurate. Most recently, I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Post-cataract surgery I really needed new progressive eyeglasses with my five diopters of vertical prism very quickly. (Cataract surgery does not correct the vertical prism issues in my eyeglasses). Within only four or five business days, ClearChoice EyeCare staff had my new eyeglasses ready in my precise prescription. My wife also has her eyeglasses made at ClearChoice EyeCare, and she sees the doctors there as well. We highly recommend ClearChoice EyeCare to anyone that seeks excellent and professional service.

Doctor we saw lacks decorum. My daughter went in for check up as she felt her prescription was not working well. The doctor rushed her quickly during the exam making her uncomfortable, essentially called her a liar for her responses during the exam, spoke in a dismissive manner, and concluded there was nothing wrong with her current prescription. The doctor offered a small increase on her current prescription to "see if it makes her happy". Long story short - we later learned she decreased it. A second doctor somewhere else later bumped up the prescription considerably. I would give only 1 star but giving 2 because the staff in front who were quite nice.

This was the worst eye exam I’ve ever had. When I showed up for my scheduled appointment, the doors weren’t even unlocked and staff wasn’t ready. After checking in, I was sent back and told the doctor I always sleep in my contacts. From there, the entire appointment turned into a lecture. I understand being given the facts, but the way she handled it was belittling and unprofessional. After being fitted for the first pair of contacts, my vision was blurry and uncomfortable. Instead of listening, she made me feel like I was wrong or lying. We ended up having to redo the exam, which was frustrating and unnecessary. In the past I’ve always had different prescriptions for each eye, but here I was suddenly told they were the same, which didn’t feel accurate at all. To top it off, at checkout I was told I had to purchase a six-month supply of contacts that day or lose my benefits—despite confirming ahead of time what my out-of-pocket costs would be. This put me in a tough financial spot and left a terrible impression. I’ve gone to different places each year and this was by far the worst experience. I would not recommend this office.

I’ve been going to Clear Choice Eye Care for about three years, and they’ve always been great! Harry was amazing—he replaced my lenses just before the warranty expired and helped me switch my order to prescription sunglasses without any hassle. He really went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. The whole team is friendly and always happy to adjust anything with the fit or look of my glasses. Highly recommend!

My 14-year-old daughter is autistic; her pediatrician referred us to this office having heard that they were great with kids. That was not our experience at all. A couple of days before the appointment, I called the office to let them know that my daughter was autistic and that there may be some things she struggled with (ex. people touching her face, etc.); they assured me that the doctors understood and would accommodate accordingly. We were seen quickly--the office staff and tech treated us well. The doctor came in. She said hello to me but did not acknowledge my daughter. She just started grabbing machines and putting them in my daughter's face--no explanation of what she was doing or anything. At one point, my daughter asked if she could "have a minute" as she was feeling overwhelmed. The doctor looked at me, said she had other patients waiting, didn't have time to deal with this, and asked me to make her comply. It was awful! My daughter had asked for, literally, ONE MINUTE...and there had been no one else in the waiting room when we arrived. We finished the exam, and the doctor wrote a prescription and instructed us to choose some glasses. My daughter was so upset that she just wanted to leave. She would not go back to that office, nor would she try on glasses anywhere else. A few weeks later, I took my daughter with me to my eye appointment, so she could see what a professional eye exam with a kind doctor looked like. After that, we scheduled an appointment for her to see my doctor, and it went GREAT! The doctor explained what each of the machines was for, answered her questions along the way, asked permission to touch her eyes, and guess what--my daughter has perfect vision. No glasses or contacts needed at this time. Summary. Doctor at Clear Choice was rude and dismissive of my daughter and seemed to give us a prescription to get us out of there and sell some glasses. The 1-star review is specifically for the doctor. The office staff and assistants were great.

We have been to this location several times. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a nice clean facility with a great selection of frames. They are quick to get your eye exam done and help you pick out the right frames for you. I am sure we will come back repeatedly.
