It's true that they work with low income children however, If your child has a disability and the family is over income they MAY also qualify. A few years back I had the privilege to work with the program as a community Outreach Referral Technician. It is a very well rounded program and i can confidently say that as an ex employee and a current Headstart Parent.

There are teachers that are so done and over it that they lack empathy. The parking is complete madness. The parents make it a total nightmare. Inconsistent and favoritisms abound.

Head start should be for every kid. Not only low income. Because i own a property and i pay my taxes and from what i know the school and teachers get pay from each person that pays their taxes.
