I've had the pleasure of working primarily with David on purchasing my R33. I spoke with David first on the phone after Brian helped out on some initial emails I sent regarding the car. Very helpful. For example, David was able to do a Facetime call showing me everything about the car and answering all my questions. He then did another showing with me in person later that week. Everyone I've met at Toprank has been great. Was able to see the other amazing cars they had in their inventory as well during my visit. It's basically a candy store for grownups! I recently took delivery of my 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T from Toprank and I have to say, Toprank made it extremely easy for me and took away a lot of the stress and concerns I had when purchasing my car. I opted to have Toprank help with the California Compliance and they were very responsive with updates throughout the entire process. I never thought I would be able to own an R34, especially in California. I reached out to Toprank back in April of 2025. It was kind of a “Let’s see what they say” mentality since I didn’t even know if purchasing a car from them was more headache or stress and if it was even worth it. Brian responded to my email and was extremely nice and helpful. We basically discussed all the details regarding California Compliance, registration, insurance, etc. via email. Since I’m local to the area, I asked if I could stop by, see the car, and test drive it. Toprank is only open on weekdays but Brian made the effort to open up shop on a Sunday morning to meet me and show me the car. There was no one else at the shop. It was just Brian. He had the car ready for me when I arrived and I got to ask him questions about it in person and learn more about what Toprank offers as services. After doing a test drive, Brian gave me a tour around the shop and we talked about some of the other cars on the lot and the current inventory at the time. I decided to finalize my purchase then and there. Shortly after that day, I started to communicate with Alvin via emails. There were a good few weeks that emails weren’t getting through, but Alvin caught on and decided to give me a call and explain the situation. From there on, our email chain continued to grow and grow with questions and updates. I inquired about having Toprank help with getting me different wheels/tires and the extra GTR-style side skirts, side skirt extensions, and rear spats, and this was all done through Alvin. He was able to help find the parts and talk to the tech at the shop when we didn't have an answer to something. This entire process was quite lengthy due to the California compliance, ordering the extra parts, test fitting and painting. Six months later, I was able to finally see the finished car in person and drive it home on California roads. I also got to meet Yaska during my pickup and he was extremely excited for me and was hyping me up. The entire Toprank staff was extremely nice to me throughout the entire process. Huge thanks to Brian and Alvin. I’ve already seen them at some events and they always give me a warm greeting and remember me as a previous customer. It’s safe to say that I will be returning to Toprank when I want to purchase another JDM classic.
