My office purchased a barrel transducer less than one year ago from Hokanson. We stored it in a desk drawer in its bubble wrap for several months. About two weeks ago, we opened the brand new unit to place in service, but the unit was obviously not working properly, so we returned it thinking that it should be replaced under warranty, especially since it had never been used until now. Hokanson would not honor their warranty stating that it was because it was so far past the purchase date. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the President of the company would call me. I have not heard from her. I am very disappointed to learn that the company will not stand behind its product. Had we not already invested in an expensive Hokanson machine, I would choose another vender for our doppler needs.
