Michael Jordan attends every year with his sport fishing yacht the "Catch 23". Its a huge event every year and lasts a week roughly. People come from all over and it's a great event. It brings in a large economic boost to the area with all the visitors and plenty of food to go around as well as FANTASTIC DIVING IN THE AREA AS WELL! If thats your thing. With Olympus Dive Center, home of the Shark shootout hosted by Capt. Micheal Gerken. A fantastic photographer who travels the world filming and photographing marine life amongst other things right next door in the heart of downtown Morehead City. So come check it out! Watch them weight in the fish on the dock and get your picture taken with some real sea monsters! (Unfortunately they are truly beautiful fish and it's unfortunate to see them caught for purely sport. So It truly is a catch 22. So in my book gets 3 stars just for this fact alone but that would be somewhat biased so I think 4 is a fair rating)...
