This is for the recreation ( not for the staff that are one the ground with the kids ) this is for the people that work in the office. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very rude and did not want to help with anything at all . Seem like a very lazy older woman . Don’t get what the point is if they can’t do there job .

This city is the worst for applying for permits. I’ve applied for 2 permit in this city. The 1st one took 2 weeks, which was ok. The second permit for a kitchen remodeling has been processing for 3 months (July - September) and still not ready for issuance. This kitchen was damaged by water and had to be tore down. This time around, they seems to be giving us so much problems. From requiring us to submit a sub-contractor list to an entirely different department, which we stated that we have none, but they insisted that we must submit a blank page anyways. Next came the “solid waste review”, for a kitchen. Mind you, this is like for like replacement work only. Then, now we’re waiting for a lead to approve, which was due 9/8/21 based on their website, and the status is still TBD. They don’t answer phone calls, so we left messages without anyone ever return our calls. We sent emails with no reply. Our client and their family are going through hardship, but nobody there cares. Not sure what kind of business they’re running, but it’s a joke. No wonder so many people never even bother to apply for permits in this city anymore.

I've found the folks at City Hall to be friendly and helpful. There's a number of medical buildings nearby, due to the location (near Washington Hospital). Plenty of free parking, and during election season, they have a ballot drop off box.
